Those two ladies above are Angela Fischer and Tami Schmidt of Phoenix, Arizona. They came to Hartford from Phoenix to get married. They were wed at the Immanuel Congregational Church in Hartford by Rev. Edward Horstmann, who said their wedding day reminded him of the words a Benedictine nun, Joan Chittister, who said, “Who knows which snowflake it is on the branch that causes the branch to eventually fall. But I want to be there when it does.’”
Rev. Horstmann added, “But today, something hasn’t so much broken, but has started to soar, or fly. This is a remarkable day.”

And their suits are fantastic. The open-toed shoes in November, though, are a definite giveaway that these are not New Englanders.
Rrrrrow. Hartford = HOT.
Yeah CT! Way to go. I’m just thrilled that our neighbors to the south have joined us here in Massachusetts in legalizing gay marriage. Great photo.
